A unique business in the garage makeover industry, specializing in affordable and flexible garage storage and organization (GSO) with a refreshing attitude towards customer service - quality!

When was the last time your vehicle saw the inside of your garage?

If you're like an ever-increasing number of homeowners (and even renters), it's probably been quite a while since your vehicle and garage were intimately acquainted.  And, while it may seem attractive to use the garage as a free storage unit, it is still best suited for its intended purpose of providing a secure, environmentally-controlled area for a vehicle.

Whenever there's a need for more storage, people tend to look to their garage.  After all, with the possible exception of either a basement or an attic, it's probably the largest room in the home.  While this can certainly be a great idea when the family is growing and the need for a more spacious, relaxing living area keeps changing, it appears garage clutter continues unabated and the American vehicle has been left on the outside looking in (pun intended).  However, even with the vehicle being parked outside their garage, it is estimated that 75% of American homeowners enter their home through their garage!  This means they are "visually" reminded of the condition of their garage, and this daily reminder can add undue stress to their lives.

What is Garage Storage and Organization?

Since the early 2000s, trends have indicated a movement towards a more organized (rather than landfill mentality) approach to the growing storage needs of the average family, and this movement has resulted in a new consumer product category - garage storage and organization (more commonly referred to as GSO).

Yes, nails in walls, hooks on pegboard, metal shelves & cabinets, cardboard boxes and plastic containers have enabled many to put "stuff" away for decades.  However, with the more-recent introduction of products specifically designed and manufactured for just such a purpose, this former, predominantly do-it-yourself (DIY) "honey-do" project has been transformed into a multi-billion dollar industry, and this garage remodeling trend holds promise for many years to come.

According to the National Association of Home Builders, Americans spent $3 billion in 2006 to remodel and organize their garages, up from $2.5 billion in 2005 and $2 billion in 2004, and these numbers are just the beginning of what is widely recognized as one of the newest trends in home improvement.

Who Needs Garage Storage and Organization?

If you're reading this, then I'm thinking you believe you do.  But take heart, you are not alone!  To demonstrate this, do a little, very simple research.  The next time you are driving home in the evening or outside picking up your weekend newspaper, look around at your neighbors' homes, or more accurately, their driveways.  Odds are very good at least half of them will have their vehicles parked on the driveway, and this is a strong indicator that the inside of their garage looks...well, you finish that thought.

As society becomes more complex and our days more hectic (i.e., more stressful), the need arises for better organization and simplification.  And, especially in today's economy (with so much more of the average American's money going towards day-to-day living expenses), this organization and simplification needs to come at an affordable price.

"What constitutes adequate, affordable garage storage and organization?"  Well, there is no single, correct answer to this question.  While a couple of hundred dollars providing organization for a small arsenal of lawn equipment and their children's play things may prove right for some, others are looking for that "dream garage" or "classic auto showplace" where an investment of $20,000 or more is not uncommon.
